Versa Lift Model 24 Attic Storage Lift: Move Boxes Between Floors Without the Ladder

Stop carrying boxes up a folding attic ladder. The Versa Lift Model 24 is a motorized attic storage lift that mounts on the attic floor over a framed ceiling opening. It carries up to 200 lbs per load between your garage or living space and the attic above. The platform stops level with the attic floor, so you slide cargo on and off instead of lifting it, and a spring-loaded door closes the ceiling opening when the platform is raised.

→ Important Safety Note: The Versa Lift is designed to carry storage items only. Never ride, stand on, or sit on the lifting platform. If the lift is installed in living space, a closet, or a walk-in attic accessible to children, the manufacturer requires the Versa Lift Auto-Shutter, which closes the lift opening as the platform goes down.

• Control Type: Corded remote with key lock and 15' cord; wireless remote, which turns itself off after 3–4 minutes unused; or wall-mounted switches upstairs and downstairs, with a key lock on the downstairs switch.

Installing a Versa Lift involves two jobs with different skill levels:

1. Framing the ceiling opening. The manufacturer rates this as skilled or professional work. It involves cutting and framing joists, so only take it on yourself if you're experienced with structural carpentry. Otherwise, book a Versa Lift installer through Install Genie.
2. Assembling and mounting the lift. The manufacturer rates this as handyman level, using hand tools and following step-by-step instructions. Two people are required.

Before you buy, confirm

• 47" of attic headroom above the opening location
• Joist height of 20" or less, including decking and drywall
• The clearances listed in Specifications
• A grounded outlet in the attic
• That the installation meets your local building codes

The manufacturer recommends an "aligned" opening, with the long side running parallel to the joists, because it requires cutting fewer joists.

Install Genie coordinates appointments with independent installers who are responsible for the work they perform. Free Shipping

All orders placed with Ace Garage Storage ship for free within the continental United States. For orders to Hawaii and Alaska, please contact us for a shipping quote. Shipping costs are calculated as part of the total product price so we can extend this free shipping offer, which applies only to completed transactions. If an order is returned for any reason other than confirmed damage, round-trip shipping charges and restocking fees will apply as outlined in our Returns Policy, as these costs are not refunded to us by carriers.

Order confirmation

As soon as your order is placed you'll receive an order confirmation e-mail. This will mean we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase. Once your order is received, we will confirm it is in stock. If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via e-mail. If your item(s) are available we will fully process the credit card charge and submit the order for shipment.

Order shipment

If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will typically ship within five business days from the date of your order. We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out. If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order, feel free to follow up with us at sales@acegaragestorage.com.

Save your boxes

Keep the lift head shipping cartons. Warranty service on the motor, remote, or limit switches requires returning the lift housing in its original carton.

Warranty

The Versa Lift by Byers Products Group (BPG) is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship for three years from the original date of purchase, under conditions of normal use and service.

Extended warranty (optional)

Add a 2-year warranty extension from Byers Products Group for $395. It extends your coverage for two more years under the same terms as the limited warranty, and you'll receive an extension certificate showing your coverage dates.

How to activate your warranty

Register your lift online at versalifthome.com, or mail in the warranty registration card included with your manuals. Record your model and serial number, found on the end of the lift head by the motor.

What the manufacturer will do

BPG will inspect the returned product and, at its option, repair or replace defective parts at no cost to you. BPG pays return shipping on warranted repairs.

How to get warranty service

• Contact BPG at 405-491-8550 (Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm CT) to get a return authorization before sending any parts.
• Ship defective parts prepaid, with a written explanation of the problem.
• If the problem is with the motor, remote control, or limit switches, return the entire lift housing assembly in its original shipping carton. If you no longer have the carton, BPG will send one.
• If BPG finds no defect, or a cause not covered by the warranty, you pay return shipping.

What is not covered

• Damage from misuse, abuse, negligence, or accidents
• Use contrary to the manufacturer's limitations or recommendations
• Products repaired, altered, or modified outside BPG's facility
• Shipping damage from inadequate packaging on warranty returns
• Incidental or consequential damages

Returns

You may return your Versa Lift within 30 days of delivery. To qualify, the lift must be unused, in the same condition you received it, and in its original packaging with all parts, hardware and manuals. Lifts that have been installed cannot be returned.

Return authorization

Contact us for a return authorization before shipping anything back. Returns sent without one may be refused, and you may be charged to have them shipped back to you.

Restocking fee and shipping charges

Returns for any reason other than damage, a defect, or an incorrect shipment are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Because free shipping applies only to completed sales, both the original and return shipping costs will also be deducted from your refund.

Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

• Inspect your delivery before you sign. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt and report it to us the same day.
• Damage found after unpacking must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
• If your lift is damaged or defective, or isn't what you ordered, we'll handle the return or replacement at no cost to you.

Refunds

Once the manufacturer receives and inspects your return, we'll email you to confirm whether it's approved. Approved refunds are credited to your original payment method.
