Versa Lift 30-Minute Fire-Rated Ceiling Door – Model 32

Versa Lift 30-Minute Fire-Rated Ceiling Door for the Model 32: Fire Separation Where Your Building Code Requires It

The Versa Lift's standard door panel closes the ceiling opening whenever the platform is raised. It replaces it with a fire-rated door built from an 18-gauge steel pan and a ½" gypsum panel, sealed around the perimeter with a silicone gasket. It carries a laboratory-tested 30-minute fire rating, for installations where local code requires a fire-resistant barrier, such as between an attached garage and the attic or living space above.

→ Check Your Local Code: Fire separation requirements vary by jurisdiction. Confirm with your local building department whether a fire-rated ceiling door is required for your installation before you order. This door fits the Versa Lift Model 32 only.

Features:

• 30-Minute Fire Rating: Laboratory-tested fire-rated door assembly. Ships with the testing lab's letter and a "Fire Door Assembly" label for your inspector.
• Steel and Gypsum Construction: 18-gauge steel pan with a ½" gypsum panel.
• Perimeter Gasket Seal: A silicone gasket seals the edge of the door against the ceiling opening.
• Heavy-Duty Springs Included: The fire door is heavier than the standard panel, so the kit includes four heavier 43½" extension springs for the platform legs to keep the door closing properly.
• Order New or Retrofit: Add it to a new Versa Lift Model 32 order, or retrofit it to a Model 32 you already own.
• 30-Day Returns: See the Returns section for details.
